  • At 1715 hrs we proceeded to SSS Seenevasen School in the country, where at 1830hrs our Kalarippayat demonstration and workshop for martial artists was scheduled with Regional Martial arts clubs of Port Louis Region.

    The school sports auditorium that evening saw the Kalarippayat masters imparting rigorous exercises to the cadres of Martial artists, all types of belt holders from yellow to black and brown belts.

    The school practitioners yielded to the body control excercises of Kalarippayat and their bodies stained to no avail even with all the tittles they were holding.

    The Regional martial arts club manager thanked the Gurukkals for their training and was interested in introducing Kalarippayat in their curriculum.

    After that a Kalari demonstration with all the weaponry had them spellbound and all students surrounded after the demonstration to have a look at the traditional Kalari demonstration weapons.

    At 2100hrs we returned back to the hotel and had dinner at hotel. This ended the second day of our stay in Mauritius.
